Born on Easter Sunday and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah I have had colorful life. My family (one brother, one sister) is colorful; my career has been colorful; my friends are colorful. I think being surrounded by all of this colorfulness comes from my constant search for something new (or, as my mom might put it, "Micquelle you were born bored."). I'm not content to sit and wait for the world to come to me...I usually run head first into change.

That being said, I have tried to focus for the last couple of years on learning to stick it out and having patience. I think that as I have aged, I have come to see the value in equity and stability. POW! is a result of that. I have been so lucky, but have also worked hard to have a successful business of my own (with a great--and infinitely more patient--partner Matt). But, change is again in the wind and I am ready to be blown along to the next thing.

I spent five years in San Francisco, but came home because I craved the independence and the community of connections that Salt Lake affords. I never thought I would come back to Utah, and although I do miss the diversity and expression-friendliness of a big city, I really love my house, my garden and being able to have dogs and cats and space. I feel I have built a great life on my own.

I hope to travel more in the years ahead and that I continue to grow and learn and experience. I would like to tap in more to my creative side and explore some deeper places of understanding. Mostly, I am excited about what ever is next. The new possibilities of the next decade await.
